Прагнемо до нових звершень!

 

     25 листопада на базі Смолінської ЗШ №1 І-ІІІ ступенів було проведено конкурс знавців англійської мови "Гринвіч". 10 учнів 5-11 класів прийняли участь в турнірі.  З 10 грудня відповіді на завдання будуть викладені на офіційному сайті конкурсу www.uclever.com. Результати очікуються в травні 2016 року! Бажаю всім учасникам перемоги!!!

International Day of Peace

      

       Each year the International Day of Peace is observed around the world on 21 September. The General Assembly has declared this as a day devoted to strengthening the ideals of peace, both within and among all nations and peoples.

Peace Is

Peace is something we all seek,
When we lack it, we feel weak.
Since it's rooted deep inside,
With our peace, we're closely tied.
Peace is something you can't buy,
You won't catch it from the sky.
Something about it is truly sublime,
It does not follow distance nor time.
Peace is something we mutually share,
For it is just, and always fair.
When we find it, peace is sweet,
It shall make our life complete.

Citius! Altius! Fortius!

 

     Цей тиждень був присвячений олімпійському руху, тому і розпочався з предметного олімпійського уроку.  Цей урок був проведений в 7 класі і  мав назву "Citius! Altius! Fortius!". Діти приймали участь у різних змаганнях та вікторинах. Були, звичайно, в нас переможці, але це не завадило отримати всім задоволення від уроку!

       Всі ми знаємо що кожна мова - унікальна та має свої особливості! А як ви гадаєте, які таємниці приховує англійська мова?

       1. З'ясувалося, що англійська зовсім не найпопулярніша мова в світі – вона лише на третьому місці. Після  китайської і іспанської.

      2. Найкоротша пропозиція в англійській мові може складатися з трьох букв (I am/i do), а якщо I am скоротити до I'm, то взагалі з двох!
